Evaluation

In this project I leaned a lot about Russian constructivism and screen-printing in this project that I applied to the work and to other projects.

With the screen prints I did most of them did not work because my design was way to complex. But for another project I used the same techniques to make a better image for a t-shirt design. 

I also decided to make Rodchenko styled graphic in Photoshop which i am very proud of. 

I do still think that I will need to improve my non-digital skills.

Screen Printing

Screen Printing

Personal I think the screen prints were a bit of a failure because the image was to complex.

i did enjoy doing the printing and i am going to use the technique in an other project.

Then we made a Constructivist style picture which is to be made into a screen print.

This one looks good but i am not sure if it would work.

We then took some of the photographs and painted on top of them.

 

This did come out well because i am not very accurate with a paint brush and it not easy paint to use sometimes it is too hard and sometime it is too runny.

Evaluation

This project was good i enjoyed it and learned a lot from it including the history of graphic design. I think also my non-digitized work has improved from he last assignment and i think that the Firefly Serenity work is one that came out best because it something which represents me more as Firefly is my favourite TV program.

But i think i would need to improve my mark making if i was to do it again because i struggled trying to make it look good and i also ran out of ideas for mark making so that would be something i would have to practise.

I did some research into lots of different graphic designers.

Serenity

With This one i made a picture from text.

I took used a picture of the Ship Serenity form the TV show Firefly and remade it using text from news papers.

To Day I made Some Typed Work Using Pictures Cut From Magazines  and newspapers.

Then i Photocopied it to get this and played around with some of the settings.

CUT OUT AND STICK ALPHABET

I used newspapers, leaflets to make an alphabet.

I took pictures of some objects which resemble letters i used my camera for most of them and then i used google maps for one and took a picture of the area with the screenshot tool.

Today we made our own letters which each letter has to be different.
